Vendetta trailer When I travel, I try to eat where the locals eat. In my opinion, and I am sure most would agree, it is the only way to truly experience the place you are visiting. A bar tender in Scotland summed it up perfectly, “you didn’t come all this way to eat a hamburger did ya?” What else could you do, but say no and order the Haggis? I am always amazed to hear people tell their traveling stories and include trips to familiar places such as Starbucks

and McDonalds. It just doesn’t seem right to me. Unfortunately, on this last trip, I was forced into a drink from Starbucks. I say forced because a couple people wanted to go and the teller charged for a drink I didn’t order. Instead of making a fuss and refunding my money, I took the drink. Not that Hawaii is that exotic of a place, but I think you get the point.

Last night at around 1:00 am, we finally made it home from our vacation in Hawaii. I basically left my poor blog alone all week long. I had intended on writing a couple of posts (I even started one), but that never happened. I have had several posts rattling around in my brain that will get out there shortly, until then this will have to do.
Thoughts From My Vacation In Bullet Points

- This was my 5th trip to Hawaii, not much has changed.
- Hawaii is too hot and humid in the summer time.
- Sitting on a beach, under an umbrella makes me miss living by the ocean.
- Big trees are awesome.
- Bella really likes aquariums.
- Jellyfish make for some great photos.
- Bella really likes playing in the sand, but does not like the ocean very much.
- After driving a mini van for a week, I will never buy one.
- Kauai is by far the best island I have visited, still (Maui, Oahu, Hawaii, Kauai).
- I want to vacation somewhere else.
- I like long walks on the beach.
- Bella tans better than I do.
- All in all, we had a good vacation and now Bella can’t say we never take her anywhere.

For the next week along with my parents and aunt, my family and I will be suffering in the beautiful Hawaiian island of Maui. Yesterday was filled with driving, shopping, and way to many hours in a plane or airport. We made it safely with the worst part being Bella peeing on my lap just after boarding the plan. Of course all of my clothes were not with me so I was forced to spend the whole day in pants covered in Bella pee. Which in all honesty once it dried, I really didn’t even think about it other than laughing at the situation.

Today was our first real day and it was perfect. Woke up refreshed, lounged around the house, walked around the small town we are staying in and watched the sunset at the beach. Tomorrow we are going to see a bunch of really big trees, I can’t wait.
Colette and I are taking lots of pictures, I plan on putting some of them up on here. The one from this post was from today and isn’t that great since it was taken from my phone, but I hope you like it anyway.

Yesterday morning the bus dropped us off at the Nashville airport. I have been here before but never spent any real time. It was basically drive in one day and leave the next. The more I am here the more I like the area. (Don’t worry I am not planning on moving out here). It is just what you think a small town in outside of Nashville would be. I am staying with Brody and Kristin download breakdown divx . Last night was spent eating burritos and watching some television. It was nice to hang out with Kristin and the boys as it has been almost two years since I saw them last.
Today has been filled with hanging out with Brody and Randy
, doing what they do which is basically go to meetings with people and sit on the computer. Fun, but I am not sure I could handle all of the meetings. I had yet another burrito, I am not sure if that means anything other than we like burritos. I just downloaded the new Jimmy Eat World and I am pretty excited about it. Clarity is one of my favorite albums and now I have the live version.
Not sure what the plans are for tomorrow, but I am hoping they involve hanging out with long time friend James. Who, by the way, should be blogging.
