I’m embarrassed to say that I got out of the routine of blogging. So to get back into posting here is an amazing song by Robert Randolph. I really wish I could sing like the bass player. And let’s be honest I wish I could play anything as good as he plays the bass. He is the man.

I’m not sure why, but I like writing this post. I think I enjoy looking back on weekend and thinking about what went right and what I could have done better for the next time I play. This past weekend I played a little bit of percussion and a little bit on mandolin. I was excited to play mandolin as it has been a while and my percussion playing centered around the tambourine, one of my favorite noise makers.
Marvelous Light - Charlie Hall (percussion)
O Praise Him - David Crowder (percussion)
Reign In Us - Ben Glover, Jon Neufeld, and Tim Neufeld (percussion)
Living For Your Glory - Tim Hughes (mandolin)
Take My Life - Louie Giglio, Frances Ridley Havergal, Henri Abraham Cesar Malan, and Chris Tomlin (mandolin)
Lift High - Steve Fee and Eddie Kirkland (percussion)
Saturday services were a bit rough on the mandolin. Like I said it had been a while so I couldn’t play what I wanted to play. I messed around that night and figured out some things and ended up liking what I switched to better anyway so that worked out nicely.
Percussion went well, or at least I think it did. My team for the next four months has a solid drummer, which always makes playing percussion that much easier.
All in all a good weekend. I look forward to playing with this team for next few months.
Walking
September 17, 200910:19 am3 CommentsIn case you missed the news, last night Bella Ruth took her first steps. She has been walking while holding our hands for a while now and just recently took the plunge to walking while only holding one hand. She has a blast doing this and we love encouraging her to try new things. (I’ve never understood parents who stifle their child’s develoment. It just seems mean and selfish). Then last night she took one more plunge and tried a few steps all on her own. I was sitting on the floor playing mandolin and she decided, as usual, that she wanted to play as well. (I almost didn’t play because I knew she wouldn’t let me actually play anything). She was standing near by and just decided to walk over instead of crawl. Mom got home from class a few minutes later and Bella Ruth showed mom her new skill. I don’t think Bella Ruth knows what this means for her quite yet, but I think she will get there.

I have finally succumbed to the peer pressure. After being harassed I finally did what I swore I would not do. I got a facebook. I now have one more thing to keep up on. Although my twitter account will update my facebook so I have that covered. I finally joined the club so that I could keep track of those friends that don’t blog and/or use twitter (you know who you are). So I would like you all to come over and be my friend or whatever it is you call it on facebook. Now the only question left is do I really want to go and talk to all of my old school friends or should I pretend that they aren’t easily found and wait for our reunion which should be right around the corner. порновидео и порноанимации гомосексуальные наклонность чайковского эротика порно онлайн
Floss
September 16, 20098:51 am5 CommentsThe scariest question you will ever hear: ”Do you floss?” I hate hearing that question. The answer is always “no” and they always give you that look of “you should know better.” Well I am about to change that. Since Colette had some expensive dental work done she decided to floss, brush, and use mouthwash. She has unknowingly dragged me along. Today marked day 5 (planning on posting this in a few days so I guess I’m really committed now) of flossing, brushing, and using mouthwash. (Note: the only thing new is the flossing and mouthwash). Hopefully the end result of this will be a healthier gum line and a cleaner mouth and teeth. As well at my next appointment I will be able to say, “yes I do floss everyday.”
Tell me, do you floss?
(Note: do not google pictures of dental floss).
The Lord Is A Warrior
September 15, 20099:30 amLeave a CommentSeveral years ago Caedmon’s Call came out with a worship album. On the album was an old hymn (I actually have no clue, but I am assuming it was) called (again no clue) The Lord Is A Warrior. At the time I really didn’t get it. I understood that he was with the Israelites as they took over the promised land and he was with them in battle over and over again, but I couldn’t figure out why that would make a worship song. Aren’t there more important things that we could be singing about? Love, patience, dying for us. But recently, largely because we are studying Revelation (just one) at church, I have been thinking about God a little bit differently. We typically think of the nice and loving side of God. We leave the scary God of Wrath and Revenge alone. That is hard to do when reading Revelation. But I think it is this side of God that is helping me to understand why “The Lord is a Warrior” would make a worship song. There will come a time when God will say enough is enough. The blood of my saints has been shed long enough and I am going to come down there and seek revenge. It is then that I am glad God is a great warrior. It gives me comfort to know that God will look at the evil and injustices in this world and correct them. I’m just as glad that the wrath he will unleash is not for me. (As well I don’t want this wrath to be for anyone else).
Football Season
September 14, 20095:49 pmLeave a CommentAs you all know, football season is officially underway. The past few years I haven’t really cared all that much. I like football I just wasn’t excited about the new season. Perhaps it was because my team, 49ers, weren’t doing that great and the trend would only continue. Not that I am a fair whether fan, it is just isn’t as fun watching your team lose 10+ games. But this year, there is a strange excitement for me. I am excited to see what the 49ers are able to pull off and excited to be lazy and watch some sports. I think I can boil everything down to connection. Due to all of this social networking, I have known the start was coming. I have heard some of the buzz with trading and who looks good this year and who doesn’t. So here’s to the new season, may the best team win (unless it isn’t the 49ers).
P.s. The 49ers won their first game against the Cardinals. It wasn’t a great showing offensively, but defensively they looked sharp for most of the game. фотоэротика малолеток
Stats Suck Sunday - In Bullet Points
September 13, 20096:50 pmLeave a Comment- Well it’s Sunday
- Misuse of “it’s” and “its” kind of drives me crazy. It’s a tricky one, but no excuses. However, there are plenty of good excuses for all of the things that I spell incorrectly.
- Using my Bose headphones the Colette gave me for Christmas. I don’t get use them very often anymore, but they are amazing and I wish music always sounded this good.
- Football season officially started and I am unusually excited about it.
- The weather today is amazing. Fall seems to be here, but according to the whether man summer will be back by Tuesday.
- Speaking of Tuesday, I am excited to be going out to see Consider the Thief. They are awesome but are going to be no more, at least that is the rumor.
- So far busyness is winning, I have not been blogging, but I have a few minutes right now so I am going to write some stuff for the week. I am going to quite wasting my time on this lame post and get to it.
- Good bye.
- I like Switchfoot.
Community
September 8, 20099:10 am7 CommentsThe entire point of blogging is community, at least I think it is. A recent look at my stats made me realize there are more people reading this blog than blogs that I read. This is a little out of whack. So if you stop by here from time to time or all the time, let me know. I would love to return the favor and visit your blog from time to time or all the time. So let me know and we can be one big happy online family. Maybe one day I will have a blogroll on the side there to make this sort of thing easier for you all. Thanks for stopping by. free mature sex
