This morning I was laying in bed looking at my closet and how much I wanted all of my hangers to be evenly spaced and then it hit me, I have OCD I’m just too lazy to do anything about it. To be honest I think about the hanger thing way to often. I have even thought about cutting little grooves into the closet rod so they would have a spot to slide onto. And of course this desire for neatness doesn’t stop there. I want drawers nicely organized, my dressers drawers are nice and organized (everything has its place). I want my music, CDs and records, DVDs, to be in alphabetical order, books should be arranged by type and then size. I want all of these things, I am just too lazy to do anything about it. This is probably for the better.

You know, I think they may make some kind of hanger spacer thing, or its hangers that are hooked onto the rod.
I knew Brody & Kyle tend to be like twins! Each in the own part of the country & still, the same tendencies! Wonder what it was like on the RAWRS bus. Probably drives both of ‘em nuts.
My daughter is this way. Everything has it’s place in her closet. She can tell you, within 1 hanger, where a certain item is! Funny, she got this way in college. Her room at home is gonna be fun to pack. She won’t have time to come home before we move. And we aren’t allowed to sort thru it without her. Hmmm. We’ll see.
My doctor once told me that everyone has a bit of OCD its just that some are more severe than others. I think some of it is just pet peeves of wanting things a certain way.
I’m not so picky about the spacing of the hangers but I do want the clothes on certain hangers and I want them facing a certain direction. My hubby teased me once with the line from “Mommy Dearest” about “no wire hangers” because I do not use wire hangers on my clothes. If he does the laundry and puts my clothes on wire hangers I will go swap them out with other ones. I also like neat drawers but I haven’t been doing a great job at keeping it up.
Phshh… Whatever. As long as they are put away I’m just fine. Although clothes in a hamper don’t bother me…
Perhaps your locd should transfer to making the bed correctly. Just a thought…
