pulling-out-hair

has just been one of those days.

  • Bella, for whatever reason has been very cranky all day; constantly whining and not listening.  She has already received several time outs until her attitude changed.
  • My iPhone fell out of my pocket and broke the screen.  It still works, but is really annoying.  The warranty is not void and will cost me $200 to replace.  I am thinking of trying to fix it myself.  I repaired Colette’s iPod so we shall see.
  • Colette received a free replacement iPhone since hers was acting up.  I am a little jealous.
  • Colette and I purchased a new iMac today.  Something we are in need of.  Our laptop is over 5 years old and I can tell it is getting old.  We upgraded to 1 terabyte of memory so it had to be a special order.  I can’t wait to get it.  With this purchase came a free printer and $229 toward an iPod.  I took that money and purchased the iPod classic.
  • I am now tired and ready for the day to be over.

sorry… I totally know how that goes! Our newest one has been out of sorts today. Sati didn’t go to sleep until 1:00 am last night and the night before so she’s a sour apple today. Danny has been working long weeks and long days and going to bed at like 8:30 every night…. I am so ready for a break! The good news is that we are going to be a family camp for a week pretty soon, so this does all have an end to it.

what are you guys doing the weekend of the 27th? We’ll be in town and would like to introduce you to our young padawan.

My husband is a Mac hater. I don’t really know why. He builds computers and works with electronics, and thinks we pay more just for the i-name. I really wanted an ipod, especially after my daughter saved up her baby-sitting money and bought herself one. He caved and got me one for Christmas. When it came time for a new phone, I thought he would cave and let me get an iphone. Not! I ended up with a Samsung Eternity. As phones go, I guess it’s ok, but it’s not an iphone. I still want one, but in the grand scheme of things I don’t think I can justify the purchase. So, unless squarespace gives me one, it’s not happening.
    I hope yours gets fixed.

  • Guys! There is no way a 7 month old has a concept of a “time-out” yet! I am laughing while remembered those days! Wait til she really turns loose & walks without the aids she uses.

Second. My daughter says there is a guy in Austin who can fix broken screens, so maybe there is someone in your area that does that also. Good luck. Maybe your pocket needs a “time-out”? :)

i disagree, though she may not understand “time-out” she fully understands that as long as she is screaming at the top of her lungs and/or whining she is not getting picked up. Give her a few moments and she will calm herself and be ready to be picked up.

Yes, I am toying with the idea of fixing the screen myself. The warranty is already expired, so we shall see.

  • Yea, she’s gotta learn from somewhere what time-out is and she may not know yet what specifically the name is buy she for sure understands the concept. She knows what eating is even if she doesn’t understand ythe words.

Sorry, my psych major coming through…

  • Brody says:

Colette your psych major might be coming though, but not your English major.

  • Heehee, nope, that’s my iPhone autospellcheck major coming out as well. Yea for college!
